Thinking about selling your home? Need a Realtor? Someone that can get the job done? Perhaps you’re not sure which Real Estate Agent to choose. Perhaps you’re not sure if you need a single Agent or a Team. If those are questions you have on your mind, look no further.
There are pro’s and con’s to hiring a team to sell you home vs a single agent.
Pro’s to a single Agent:
- You hire one Realtor, you get that Realtor… no surprises.
- You know exactly who to call if there is a problem.
Con’s to hiring a single Agent:
- Real Estate Agents MUST wear many hats. This business is very demanding and pulls Realtors in every direction. There is more to this business than just buying and selling homes. Ex: marketing, advertising, courses to keep up with, generating leads to keep the business going just to name a few.
- If your Agent goes on vacation, who’s watching their business? Hopefully someone is.
- If your Agent is busy, get in line and wait because there’s no one else to call
Pro’s of hiring a Team:
- Each team member wears a different hat meaning each Realtor has more time to focus on their own job (not accounting, marketing, generating business etc…)
- If a problem arises, there is always someone available to handle it without you having to wait in line.
Con’s of hiring a team:
- If the team is too big you may get lost in the shuffle because there are many clients the team must focus on.
- Believe it or not, sometimes it’s tough to book time (as the Buyer Agent) to present an offer because the Listing Agent is too busy with too many clients. This has happened many time to us. In my opinion, these large teams are sometimes too large to properly service their own clients.
